Prediction 2: The Ohio State offense gets back on track

You can tell through media availability this week that this Buckeye offense is upset. Ryan Day seems to wish they would play this game today to get the sour taste of the Northwestern game out of their mouths. This, from Eleven Warriors:

"“I think we all need to do better. Going back and watching the film, we gotta block better, we gotta run better, we gotta do a better job equating the numbers. … We know we can do a better job.”"

Last week, I incorrectly predicted a monster game for CJ Stroud. Now, I didn’t know he would have 40 MPH winds to deal with, but nonetheless, I was way wrong. Not on Saturday. This Buckeye offense will eat.

Ryan Day is going to want to build some stats for Stroud’s Heisman candidacy and he’s going to want to establish the run game to get this Ohio State offensive line’s confidence back up for the stretch run. Expect Day to really open up the playbook early in this game.

Unfortunately for Indiana, they are in the wrong place at the wrong time. I’m predicting at least 550 yards of total offense for the Buckeyes in this one as they try to fine-tune things for the Michigan game in two short weeks.

I would expect the offense to have much better success in weather that should be much easier to work in. IU doesn’t have the talent on defense to slow down the Ohio State Buckeyes on offense, so it could be a long day for their defense.
