Ohio State Football vs. Northwestern: Three bold predictions
Final Prediction: Ohio State football team 62, Northwestern 10
This is a that could get ugly pretty quickly. Usually, Northwestern has a few players on defense that can make this game interesting. The one player they did have, safety Brandon Joseph, transferred to Notre Dame and already lost to Ohio State earlier this season.
After having a few clunky games offensively against Iowa and Penn State, Ryan Day and offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson are going to want to smooth some things out and get their players’ confidence up for the stretch run of this season. That spells trouble for the Wildcats on Saturday afternoon.
Defensively, the Buckeyes have been getting better each week. They are learning Jim Knowles’ scheme and each game a different player is making a huge impact. Who knows who that could be this week, but maybe it’s a player like corner Jordan Hancock who’s trying to earn a starting role?
I’ve got this one decided by halftime in a contest that will be used as a tune-up for the Michigan game at the end of the season.
Ohio State football team 62, Northwestern Wildcats 10.
