The Ohio State football team is taking on Penn State this weekend in what will be their toughest test to date. This is a measuring stick game for the Buckeyes. Ohio State will really find out just how good they are when they are taking on the Nittany Lions.

This is the type of game that will test the mental strength of the Buckeyes. Penn State is trying to save their season. A win here would mean they still have a shot to win the Big Ten and make the College Football Playoff, with some help from other teams. A loss means they can’t reach either of those goals.

With that in mind, there are some very interesting bets to be made on this game that could make it even more fun. Both teams are quality, so that opens up the possibilities for some interesting in-game props that got my attention looking at them on FanDuel.

Best Ohio State football Bets Week 9

Right now, the spread is still 15.5 points. I think the Buckeyes do cover that spread, even though the game could be close in the first half. The over is set at 60.5 which I also think will go over. If you bet those things together, you get +260 odds. That bet hit last week too.

As far as in-game props go, I have my eye on first touchdown scorer. Marvin Harrison Jr. is +550 for that. All he does is catch touchdowns. In fact, he is second in the country in receiving touchdowns with 10 of them. He also has been the first touchdown scorer in two of the Buckeyes’ previous games.

I also like Julian Fleming‘s odds for anytime touchdown, which sit at +165, Fleming has really been coming on since he made his season debut against Toledo. He’s caught a touchdown pass in every single game he’s played this year. I’m not sure why that would stop now.

Finally, take a look at C.J. Stroud passing touchdowns. The number is set at 3.5, with the over sitting at +128 odds. That’s something I would consider as well. Stroud has thrown for four or more touchdowns in five of the seven games Ohio State has played so far, including last week against the vaunted Iowa defense.
