Prediction 1: The Ohio State football team runs all over this Penn State defense

The Ohio State offense is most certainly known for throwing the ball all over the yard. And if you’re the play caller, Ryan Day, why not? You have one of the best receiving corps in the country and you have maybe the best quarterback in the nation with C.J. Stroud. But this is a game that will be won on the ground.

Like I said before, this Penn State secondary is for real. Both starting corners, Porter Jr. and Brown, have a chance at being first-round NFL draft picks. And I’m not saying Ohio State can’t challenge them. They can and they will. And they will win a lot of the time. But this Penn State front seven is not as good as they’ve been in past seasons.

Michigan ran the ball down the Nittany Lions’ throat all day long two weeks ago. The Wolverines’ top two running backs, Donovan Edwards and Blake Corum each ran for over 160 yards a piece.

The Buckeyes have a one-two punch in Miyan Williams and TreVeyon Henderson that can exploit the Penn State defensive front. And they have an offensive line that will be extra motivated to prove that they are one of the best in the country after getting pushed around by Iowa’s front seven a bit last week.

Look for Ryan Day to try to establish the run early in this game and if Penn State can’t stop them, why change the game plan? I expect the Ohio State offense to rush for over 250 yards and both Miyan Williams and TreVeyon Henderson to get over the century mark.
