The Ohio State football team is trying to finalize the 2023 class still. There are a handful of spots open that they are trying to fill. That hasn’t stopped them from looking ahead to the 2024 class though. The Buckeyes already have the number one overall player in that class.

Now, they have landed their second prospect of the 2024 class. It comes from Ian Moore, a four-star offensive lineman from New Palestine, Indiana. He is ranked as the 82nd-best player in the country and the fourth-best interior offensive lineman.

Moore stands at 6’5 and 295 pounds already. He’s a big boy with room to get stronger too. Moore is a good player that has a bit of a mean streak to him in the middle. He’s a really good run blocker that can get to the second level, which is important for running backs following him.

The Ohio State football team is trying to fix some offensive line gaps in recruiting that were left behind by former offensive line coach Greg Studrawa. Justin Frye has gone to work to try and find some good linemen to fix the issues that may come once this current crop of linemen leaves.

This is only the second commitment for the Buckeyes in this class. They will surely turn their attention to this class more once the early signing period is done for the 2023 class. Ohio State has the fifth-ranked class in 2023 right now and is looking to improve on that ranking.

Three bold predictions for the Iowa game. dark. Next

As for Moore, he has one more season of high school football left. He has a chance to improve his own recruiting ranking. I’m not sure he can get all the way up to five-star status, but he has a shot to get to a top-50 player in this class. That’s still pretty darn good.
