The Ohio State football gets back in the saddle this weekend as they take on the Iowa Hawkeyes. It’s the sixth home game in the first seven for the Buckeyes and they are fresh off a bye week. They should come into this game fresh and healthy.

We don’t know how healthy yet though. We don’t know if this is the game that Jaxon Smith-Njigba finally plays more than a few drives or if this is the game that Jordan Hancock makes his season debut. I’m sure we won’t know for sure until the game kicks off, regardless of what Ryan Day says throughout the week.

The spread for this game is a whopping 28.5 according to FanDuel. That’s a big spread for a game that features an Iowa defense that is one of the best in the country. The problem for them is that Ohio State might have the best offense in the country and Iowa has the worst offense in the country.

Even though that’s a big spread, I don’t see why the Buckeyes would have any issues with it. I think they are that good of a team. Iowa is also absolutely putrid on offense. It’s honestly hard to watch and I feel bad for their fans because they deserve better.

The over/under for this game sits at 49.5 which seems incredibly low to me. I know Iowa has a really good defense, but I think the Buckeyes could put 50 up by themselves. They very well might take the over without needing any help from Iowa.

I think the Buckeyes are finally going to be healthy for this game and start to show what they can do when they are fully healthy, and they are already really good anyway. I don’t see how this game is close at halftime and this should be another game that the backups get a lot of reps.
