The Ohio State football team took on Michigan State on Saturday in their first road game of the year. It ended like all of the games they’ve played at home this year, beating down the Spartans 49-20. It was a game that showed the Buckeyes’ offense is as scary as they come.

A. . QB. Ohio State Buckeyes. QUARTERBACKS

C.J. Stroud made one mistake in this game. He threw a pick-six on the second drive of the game after he had some miscommunication with Emeka Egbuka. Other than that, Stroud was simply sensational. He threw for 361 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Stroud continues to show why he should be the Heisman frontrunner. He put up all of these numbers in just three quarters too. As long as he stays healthy, the Buckeyes are going to be incredibly hard to beat because of the command he has of the offense.

A-. . RB. Ohio State Buckeyes. RUNNING BACKS

Miyan Williams wasn’t available for this game, so it was up to TreVeyon Henderson. Henderson was good after a week off, taking the ball 19 times for 118 yards and a touchdown. He did get hurt and had to leave the game though, leaving Dallan Hayden to run 14 times for 70 yards as well.

Xavier Johnson took some snaps at running back as well, which was surprising. The receiver had 3 carries for 23 yards. In total, the Buckeyes ran it 46 times for 237 yards. That’s a pretty solid day on the ground, even if there was no spectacular performance from anyone.

OFFENSIVE LINE. A. . OL. Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State’s offensive line continues to play well. They opened up holes in the running game and were able to keep Stroud upright for most of the game. Stroud was sacked only once in this game, but the line mostly gave him plenty of time to survey the field.

A-. . TE. Ohio State Buckeyes. TIGHT ENDS

Cade Stover has turned into a big part of this offense. He was a non-factor in the passing game this one though, catching three passes for just 6 yards. He was good in the running game though with his blocking. Gee Scott Jr. was the tight end who was catching touchdowns, as he caught his first career touchdown pass in this game from two yards out.

WR. Ohio State Buckeyes. WIDE RECEIVERS. A.

The only reason this grade isn’t an A+ is because of that miscommunication that resulted in the pick-six. Other than that, the Buckeyes were unstoppable on the outside. Marvin Harrison Jr. was once again the star of the show and is quickly becoming the best receiver in a loaded room.

He had 3 touchdown catches in the game and became the first receiver in Ohio State football history to have three games of three touchdown catches in his career. He’s just a sophomore too. The rest of the receivers were pretty darn good too.

Emeka Egbuka caught 5 passes for 143 yards and a touchdown and Julian Fleming had 4 catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. It just doesn’t matter who you try to cover. The Buckeyes have weapons all over the field. Just wait until they get Jaxon Smith-Njigba back too.

It was another great offensive performance and this should keep happening for this Ohio State Buckeyes team.
