Ohio State football vs. Michigan State Prediction and Odds for Week 6 College Football Spread, Over/Under
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team takes on their first big challenge of the season when they head to the road to play Michigan State. It’s the first road game of the season for the Buckeyes, and it comes pretty late into the season. It’s not often the first road game comes in Week 6.
In any case, the Buckeyes are looking to remain undefeated against a Spartans team that has struggled this season. Ohio State shouldn’t have any issues, but this is a Michigan State team that has a history of ruining great Ohio State football seasons.
Ohio State football vs. Michigan State Odds Week 6
As of right now, the Ohio State Buckeyes are favored by 25.5 points according to FanDuel. That may seem high for a team playing their first road game, but then you look at what MSU has done the last three weeks. They have lost their last three games by a combined score of 100-48.
I do think the Buckeyes cover the spread, but I think it’s close. Michigan State always has a tough environment to play in. This will be the first time the Buckeyes have to deal with crowd noise. I wouldn’t be shocked if this game was close in the first half before the Buckeyes pull away.
The over/under is set for 62.5. Ohio State has done a pretty good job of making sure the total hits over this season, so I would expect more of the same this week against a week Spartans team.
Ohio State football vs. Michigan State Prediction Week 6
I don’t think this Michigan State team is even close to as good as they were last year, and the Buckeyes smoked them 63-7. I’m not sure if it will be that big of a blowout on the road for the Buckeyes, but they should still get the win by a sizable margin.
Give me the Buckeyes 45-17
