It’s now a month into the season and everyone is warmed up now. The entire Buckeye offense is hitting its stride at the perfect time of year. The meat of the schedule is starting to hit. It doesn’t matter, because Ohio State just proved no one can stop them on offense except themselves.

In the opener against Notre Dame, Ohio State only scored 21 points. That’s because they lost their best player early in the first quarter and Ryan Day went too pass-happy. Once he figured out the right play calling, the Fighting Irish had no shot of slowing the Buckeyes down.

Since that game, the Buckeyes have scored 45, 77, and 52 points. That’s pretty darn good. They just hung 52 on one of the nation’s best defenses as well. Wisconsin will easily have a top-ten defense in college football when the season is over.

But the only ones who can stop Ohio State are themselves. C.J. Stroud finally threw his first interception of the season and it didn’t matter. He had 5 touchdowns to offset that. Unless Ohio State starts turning the ball over like crazy all of a sudden, there’s not a team out there that can slow them down.

I don’t think the Buckeyes will score under 35 points for the rest of the season. It doesn’t matter who they play. That’s how good I think this offense is. It also hasn’t even hit its ceiling yet. Once Jaxon Smith-Njigba is finally healthy, this offense becomes even more ridiculous.

My final takeaway has to deal with how this team stacks up with others around the country.
