Ohio State Football: Week 3 Top 25 National Landscape Poll
The Ohio State football team took care of business Saturday afternoon against Arkansas State 45-12. Here is my Top 25 Poll.
As the Ohio State football season rolls along, it’s important to take note of the national landscape. This Top 25 poll is designed for Buckeye fans to keep an eye on teams that could be coming for the Buckeyes once the College Football Playoffs come around.
So, without further ado, here is my Top 25 Poll for Week 3:
25. Pitt (1-1) A narrow loss to Tennesse has them ranked at the bottom of the top 25.
24. Utah (1-1) A Week 1 loss to Florida and a win over Southern Utah has the Utes at 24.
23. Florida (1-1) Up and down start to the season for Billy Napier.
22. Kentucky (1-1) An impressive win yesterday over Florida.
21. Baylor (1-1) Probably would have been top 10 without the loss to BYU yesterday.
20. Texas A&M (1-1) Lost yesterday to a very solid Appalachian State squad.
19. Texas (1-1) Came within seconds of defeating Alabama.
18. Appalachian State (1-1) Big win vs. Texas A&M and a narrow loss Week 1 to North Carolina.
17. Ole Miss (2-0) Lane Kiffin needs to pick a quarterback and stick with him.
16. Minnesota (2-0) Only undefeated team in the Big Ten West.
15. NC State (2-0) This team will go as far as QB Devin Leary takes them.
14. Oklahoma State (2-0) Dominic Richardson with 131 yards rushing in a win over Arizona State.
13. Penn State (2-0) Travels to Auburn next week, we will find out a lot about the Nittany Lions.
12. Tennessee (2-0) Nice overtime win vs Pitt yesterday.
11. Michigan State (2-0) Mel Tucker looking to prove last season wasn’t a fluke.
10. Miami (2-0) Primetime game next Saturday versus Texas A&M is a must-watch.
9. Arkansas (2-0) Raheim Sanders is the real deal at running back for the Razorbacks.
8. BYU (2-0) Impressive overtime win over Baylor yesterday.
7. Oklahoma (2-0) Kent State held its own against them yesterday. 7-3 score at the half.
6. Clemson (2-0) Offense still looks sluggish; the defense is top-notch.
5. USC (2-0) Offensive numbers are impressive through two weeks.
4. Michigan (2-0) Two blowout wins over inferior opponents.
3. Alabama (2-0) Should have lost yesterday at Texas. The offensive line is unimpressive.
2. Ohio State (2-0) Even with Notre Dame’s loss yesterday, that win carries some weight.
1. Georgia (2-0) Defending national champs crushed Oregon in Week 1.
