Ohio State football has pathetic first half vs ND
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team was favored by 17 points in their opener against Notre Dame on Saturday night. It was expected that they would dominate the game. Unfortunately for Buckeye fans, that’s not how it went in the first half.
The Buckeyes were down 10-7 after the first half. The Buckeye defense allowed over 180 yards and had a terrible start to the game when the allowed Notre Dame a huge gain on their first drive of the game.
Ohio State also only had 150 yards and scored only one touchdown in the first half. It was a completely unacceptable first half from an offense that is supposed to be the best in the entire country. They didn’t run the ball well enough and that’s why they found themselves down.
The Ohio State football team didn’t come out to play like they said they would. We knew this was going to be a tough game in the first half, but everyone still expected the Buckeyes to be leading. Instead, the Irish are holding a three point lead.
We’ll see what the Buckeyes can do in the second half. If they don’t make the proper adjustments, they’re found to get beaten in this game. You can only hope that Ryan Day can make the proper adjustments and bake sure that doesn’t happen for the second consecutive year.
Ohio State does get the ball to start the second half, so we’ll see what they can come up with. They need to play much better in the second half.
