Ohio State football: C.J. Stroud gifts teammates using NIL money
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team has a very important game this Saturday night against Notre Dame. It’s a top-five matchup that everyone will be watching. C.J. Stroud knows the importance of the game and wants his teammates to be looking their best pregame.
Stroud decided to gift his teammates something to make sure they do look their best. He gave everyone on the team a $500 gift card to Express so that they can all get suits for the game. You can see his act of kindness in the clip below.
Express is one of Stroud’s NIL sponsors. Stroud is using his NIL funds to help out his teammates, which is great to see. As you can see NIL isn’t necessarily ruining the game. There are players like Stroud who are using the money they get to help others out.
This news got the players excited. I’m sure they’re all going to look excellent on their way to the Shoe on Saturday night. This also shows the level of leadership Stroud possesses. He didn’t have to do this but he wanted to help his teammates in some way.
That’s the type of leadership that has NFL scouts drooling over him. The leadership he has, along with his talent of course, is why he’s going to be a top-five pick in the NFL Draft after this season. He is going to make some NFL team very happy next year.
Right now though, he is making the Ohio State football team happy with this generous gift. Now the team has to go out and beat the Irish to make a statement to the rest of the college football world. You can bet his teammates will fight hard for him.
