Ohio State Football most in-demand college football team

The Ohio State football team is expected to have a ton of fans show up for the season-opener against Notre Dame. That’s especially true after both teams were ranked in the top five in the preseason AP Poll. That’s just one big-time game the Buckeyes have at home though.

Besides the opener against Notre Dame, the Buckeyes also have home games against Wisconsin, Iowa, and TTUN. All of those programs are national brands. The combination of Ohio State being one of the best teams in the country and playing other good teams has driven up ticket demand.

In fact, Ohio State is the most in-demand college football team in the country according to a report from StubHub. They account for nearly 10% of ticket sales so far, including more than a third for the entire Big Ten conference. That’s an insane amount of ticket sales!

Both the Notre Dame and Michigan game are in the top ten when it comes to the most in-demand games in the country. As you can see the Ohio State football program clearly moves the needle in ways that other programs around the country simply don’t.

This is the first time that Ohio State is the most in-demand team. There are two other Big Ten programs in the top ten though. Michigan and Penn State are 7th and 8th respectively on this list. Those two have significantly fewer ticket sales than the Buckeyes do though.

We can only hope that all of that fan support can help the Buckeyes win more games this year. That’s what these fans are paying to see. Ohio State is going to be favored in all of the games that they play in the regular season, so they should be good games to go to.
