What we hope to learn about the Ohio State basketball team during Bahamas trip

Which Ohio State basketball freshman will shine the most?
The 2022 recruiting class that Chris Holtmann put together was one of the best in Ohio State basketball history. The class is filled with five commits and it ranks 8th in the country. These freshman coming in are really talented. It’s just a question of which one stands out the most.
Brice Sensabaugh is the freshman that I think will have the best freshman season as a Buckeye. He can flat out score the basketball. If you missed it, he dropped a 50-ball in a Summer League game back in early July. His game reminds me of a bigger Duane Washington Jr. Sensabaugh is a big time shot maker, and that is the biggest need for this Ohio State basketball team heading into this season.
Another freshman who will play a huge role this season is Bruce Thornton. Thornton has the potential to be the point guard of the future at Ohio State. Describing him as a Floor General would fit him perfectly. Thornton is someone Holtmann could trust having the ball in his hands down the stretch of a close game. He is comfortable with the ball in his hands and he’s going to make the right play, which is something the basketball team has been missing the past few years at the point guard position.
One freshman that is flying under everyone’s radar is shooting guard Roddy Gayle Jr. Gayle is another incoming freshman that can score the basketball at a high level. He has a smooth stroke on the outside, and his length allows him to elevate over any defender. Don’t be surprised if you hear Gayle’s name called a lot this season.
Now that we’ve touched on the incoming freshman, let’s talk about the incoming transfers. Which transfer could breakout next season?
