Ohio State Football: TTUN QB says big gap between UM and OSU

The Ohio State football team got beat by TTUN last year 42-27. It was the first time that they had lost to them in a decade. It was a game that was never truly close. TTUN handled the Buckeyes in the trenches, and that’s what resulted in the winning streak ending.

Michigan quarterback Cade McNamara talked to reporters today at Big Ten media day. He was talking about The Game from a year ago and said there was a pretty big gap between TTUN and Ohio State on that day and he was surprised how out of hand it got.

As you can see in the tweet above, TTUN was very confident with their offensive line heading into that game. The one sentence at the end is something that Ohio State football fans should be interested in. McNamara said, “I don’t see that changing”.

The Buckeyes better hope that’s not the case. They were thoroughly dominated in the trenches in that game. It’s something that they have been working on all offseason to avoid happening again. If Ohio State wants to win, they have to be tougher in the trenches on both sides of the ball.

This might serve as bulletin board material for the Buckeyes for this year’s iteration of The Game. They should be plenty motivated for this matchup anyway, as they should be every year. But with the team they have coming into this season, losing to TTUN two years in a row would be catastrophic.

We’ll see very early on in the season whether or not the Buckeyes have the paly in the trenches to beat the teams on their schedule.
