Former Ohio State football player J.K. Dobbins is one of the best running backs the Buckeyes have ever had. He ran for over 2,000 yards in his final season with the Buckeyes and was taken in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens.

Unfortunately, his NFL career did not get off to the best start. While he had a promising rookie season, he was splitting time and was not the starter right away. 2021 was supposed to be the year that he broke out as the starter and a great running back.

Then Dobbins tore his knee up in preseason and missed the entire season. It was one of those unfortunate injuries that kept him from showing how good he is. He’s been healing for the last year now and is eager to do big things in year three of his NFL career.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport went on a TV show and reported that Dobbins is no certainty to be ready for Week 1 of the NFL season. Dobbins took a major exception to that and fired out a response on Twitter to him.

As you can see, Dobbins fired right from the hip. He made it clear that he has been working very hard this offseason to come back healthy and stronger than he was before. It sounds like he has his sights on returning in Week 1 whether Rapoport thinks he will or not.

Dobbins is clearly frustrated with rumors circulating around about his availability. Based on how angrily he fired off this tweet, as well as several more after that, I’d be surprised if he wasn’t out there in Week 1 as the starting running back for the Ravens.

dark. Next. Ohio State Football: Three players on Maxwell list

He still has another couple of months to get himself ready. I’m sure he’ll be working his butt off to do just that.
