Branham and Liddell still have some time in the NBA Summer League

Both Malaki Branham and E.J. Liddell have a few more games left in the NBA Summer League. There is nothing to worry about these two former Buckeyes. They have both just played one game, the nerves are definitely going to be there. It is the NBA and they’re trying to make a name for themselves.

We all know the way Branham can score will allow him to succeed in the NBA. He can score on all three levels and do that consistently. Branham’s scoring ability will pay him huge dividends in the NBA, especially now in his rookie season. Right now he’s trying to adjust to the Spurs system and figure out the role he is going to be playing in next season.

I think Liddell is in a great situation with the New Orleans Pelicans. They are a young, up-and-coming team in the Western Conference that has the potential to be really good next year. Liddell brings a lot to the table for how versatile he is. He’s continuing to improve on defense, and on offense, he helps spread the floor. Because of that, he will provide a lot of help to the Pelicans next season if he is given the opportunity.

Continue to check out Branham and Liddell in the NBA Summer League in Vegas over the next week. Branham and the Spurs play tonight against Golden State, Monday against Houston, and Thursday against Atlanta. Liddell and the Pelicans are back in action Monday against Atlanta, Wednesday against Washington, and Friday against the Lakers.

Here in a few months, we will see these guys making their official NBA debuts with their current teams. That will be great for the Buckeye basketball program.
