The Ohio State football program has not slowed down on the recruiting trail since summer started. In the months of June and July, they have landed several commitments from prospects in the 2023 recruiting class. They landed another one today, this time on the offensive line.

That’s because Miles Walker, a tackle from Connecticut, committed to the Buckeyes. He is listed as the second-best tackle in the state of Connecticut and is a three-star prospect. Walker chose the Ohio State football program over Texas A&M, which came in second.

Walker stands at 6’6 and 285 pounds, so he’s a big kid. He’s only a three-star, but Justin Frye sees some potential in him. He could be a four-star by the time the 2023 recruiting cycle ends. He just needs to refine his skills a little bit more and then he can be something special.

I haven’t been able to watch a ton of film on Walker, but he does have some upside. I think college coaching is the biggest thing that will help him. He needs some refinement with his lateral movement, but that’s something that can be coached up and worked on.

Walker becomes the fourth offensive lineman for the 2023 class to commit to the Buckeyes. He is also the second true tackle to do so. My guess is that will be it for this class, although they could still try to take in one more. You can’t have too much talent in the trenches.

Ohio State continues to kill it on the recruiting trail. This is now their 17th commit for this class. They still have some room for more players, so this class is only expected to get better in the next few weeks. Expect some booms on the defensive side of the ball too.
