There has been a lot of talk about NIL compensation across college football. With the new NIL rules out there, players are getting a lot of money from boosters. The Ohio State football program has tried to get out in front of this new issue and get the NIL money that is needed.

Ryan Day told a host of local businesses how much money the program would need to keep current rosters intact. That also didn’t include any money for incoming recruits. Now we know that the Ohio State football program is leading all of college football in total NIL compensation.

As you can see, Ohio State has put a deep emphasis on this new aspect of college football. This is a testament to not just those within the program, but the boosters who help facilitate these NIL deals. They are leaving no stone unturned when it comes to assembling the best roster.

Showing that they are willing to work with players to get NIL deals is going to have massive appeal for recruits. That, plus their success on the field and the ability to develop players for the NFL game, are why the Buckeyes will continue to get the high-level recruits that they get.
