Ohio State Football: Dylan Raiola trying to recruit others to OSU
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football program has built a reputation as being able to recruit nationally. They can grab players from any corner of the country that they want to. That’s how they were able to grab Dylan Raiola, who is one of the top recruits in the country for the 2024 class.
Since Raiola committed to the Buckeyes a month ago, he has been all over social media trying to bring other prospects to Columbus. In fact, 99% of his tweets since he committed have been at other players trying to get them to choose Ohio State or celebrating his current teammates’ successes.
Raiola isn’t the only prospect who does this. A lot of committed prospects try to get others to join them. This happens with the Ohio State football program as well as other programs. That doesn’t mean that this is any less important though, especially when it’s someone as good as Raiola.
The Buckeyes are still hosting their camp this week at the facility, so they get to see a lot of guys up close. Some of them have offers from Ohio State and some don’t. Some will certainly get offers if they impress the coaches enough. None of them are likely to commit solely off their experience at camp though.
Recruits like Raiola are important because they can help the Buckeyes get the best of the best to join him in Columbus. Players like playing with the best. By the time the recruiting rankings are finalized for 2024, Raiola could end up being the best recruit in the country. It gets no better than that.
Ohio State continues to be a destination for the top prospects in the country. That won’t change anytime soon. They should expect to see some more commitments come their way by the end of the month.
