Ohio State Football: Plenty of excitement to watch

The Ohio State football team usually has some great talent on the roster. That is the case yet again this year. Even more than that, the Buckeyes are trying to get back to the heights they saw in 2020 when they played for a national championship.

Last year didn’t go the way they wanted, so they reloaded. They changed almost the entire defensive coaching staff. They did so in order to give themselves the best chance to win. That new defensive scheme is one of the many things that fans will be excited to watch.

How will the new scheme look? How sophisticated will the blitzes get? Who will step up on that side of the ball to become a reliable playmaker? Can this team get to the quarterback better and have a larger number of sacks in big games? There are plenty of questions waiting to be answered on defense.

On offense, there aren’t a ton of questions to be answered except for some personnel decisions. Is Julian Fleming finally healthy enough to be a contributor? Will he be the third receiver on the depth chart, or will that go to Emeka Egbuka? Does Kamryn Babb have a shot at playing time?

Perhaps the most exciting thing to watch on offense is who the starting tight end will be. It will likely be either Gee Scott Jr. or Cade Stover. Those are the two who will see the majority of the snaps, at least as of right now. A lot of things can change in the Summer and Fall.

Regardless of what happens and who plays, there will be plenty of excitement for fans to look forward to and watch this season. It should be another fun year to watch the Buckeyes.
