It is now officially the start of camp season. The Ohio State football program is hosting its first camp of the Summer and invited kids from all over the country to Columbus. It’s a great way for these kids to get some college coaching while they are still in high school.

There are some kids here that are committed to the Ohio State football program already. There is some video of Will Smith Jr. doing some drills at the camp and he is a Buckeye commit. Of course, there are also kids at this camp who are hoping to get a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes still.

Their performance at this camp might put them on the Buckeyes’ radar. That’s a great thing about these camps. It gives coaches an up-close look at these kids that they haven’t been able to get. It also could help them find some diamonds in the rough.

Camp season is exciting for the kids and the coaches alike. Both will be doing a lot of work in the next few days, but it’s work they both love doing. The coaching these kids will get will be a great impact on them, even if they don’t end up attending Ohio State.

It will be interesting to see how many scholarships the Buckeyes give out once they are done hosting this camp. They still have plenty of spots to fill in the next few recruiting classes, so I’m sure they will be keeping their eyes open.
