You will be able to bet on Ohio State Football games soon

Sports betting is legal in many parts of the country now. In fact, every state that borders Ohio has legalized sports betting. I’ve written many articles on Ohio State football and basketball games about the betting lines and such, yet no one in Ohio has been able to take advantage of it yet.

That will be changing soon. As of January 1st, 2023, sports betting will be legal in the state of Ohio. You will now be able to bet either at a casino or with whatever mobile app you want with the sportsbook of your choosing. This means that Ohio State football and basketball games are fair game.

The timing of this is a bit frustrating because you have to wait until most of the Ohio State football season is over. You might be able to bet on a bowl game if they play on New Year’s Day, but won’t be able to bet on them if they play in a College Football Playoff semi-final.

You will be able to bet on half of the Ohio State basketball team though, as well as the NCAA Tournament. As someone who lives in Ohio, I was only able to bet when I would go home to Indiana and did so sparingly. Perhaps this will increase the number of times I do so.
