The Ohio State football team just got done putting two receives into the first round of the NFL Draft in Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. They also had a third first-round guy start his career with the Buckeyes in Jameson Williams. Despite those three great guys perhaps the best of the bunch is still in Columbus.

That, of course, is Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Smith-Njigba was the leading receiver on this Ohio State football team last year. He finished his season with a record-breaking performance in the Rose Bowl. Now, he is the star of the show in the receiver room.

JSN has the chance to be better than all of his former teammates. He has the speed, and the ability to break free from defenders and get yards after the catch. Not only that, but he can run any route needed at any time. He really is the full package as a receiver.

Draft analysts already have him projected as the first receiver taken in next year’s draft. The question is, what is his ceiling as a player? How good can he continue to be? I think JSN has the potential to be a top-five pick in the entire draft and can be a perennial Pro Bowl player.

If Smith-Njigba can show scouts that he can line up on the outside and do damage from outside the slot too, look out. He can do things that no other receiver in the country can do. The other teammates he has in the receiver room are what in part make this offense so dangerous.

Next. Dawand Jones has an opportunity. dark

JSN could win the Biletnikoff award for the best receiver in the country in 2022. His ceiling is higher than any Ohio State receiver in the last 5-10 years. He’s right up there with Michael Thomas in that regard.
