The Ohio State football program has seen a lot of players put their names into the transfer portal over the past few months. Most of the players waited until the season was over to do so. One of those players was defensive end Noah Potter, who missed all of last season.

Potter missed last season due to an eye injury that needed emergency surgery. He decided that after the season he was going to finish out his college football elsewhere. He hadn’t seen the field much with the Buckeyes and saw the prospects of getting playing time dwindling.

Today, Potter announced where he will be attending school now. He won’t be going too far, heading to Cincinnati to be reunited with Kerry Coombs and play under Luke Fickell. Potter announced this decision on social media.

Potter’s injuries never gave him a real shot to earn a spot in the rotation on the defensive line with the Ohio State football team. Now that he’s healthy, he could be a real asset for the Bearcats. He’s still a very talented player, he just never got a chance to show it because of things outside of his control.

I wish Potter nothing but the best in continuing his college career. I wouldn’t be surprised if the former four-star recruit ended up being an impact player for Cinci very soon. As I said, all he needs is an opportunity and to stay injury-free. Hopefully, he can do that.
