The Ohio State football program has some pretty big non-conference games on the horizon in the next few years. They play powerhouse teams such as Notre Dame, Alabama, and Georgia. They just added another Power 5 program to play after all of them as well.

The Buckeyes have scheduled a home-and-home with Boston College for 2035 and 2036. Ohio State will host BC first in 2035 before going there in 2036. Yes, that is in fact a long way away from now. It’s 13 years away be more precise about it.

Why programs schedule this far out in advance is beyond me. Even so, it’s good to have another Power 5 program on the docket for future contests. There’s no telling how good BC will be by that time. They aren’t very good now, but 13 years ago they were pretty good so things can change.

What college football will look like when this game come around is another question. Who knows what the landscape of the sport will look like in just 5 years let alone 13. It’s quite possible there will be all kinds of rules and regulations that aren’t in effect right now that will be when these two games are played.

The Ohio State football program now has home-and-home schedules with Notre Dame, Washington, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and Boston College. Those are some of the blue-blood programs of the sport. Those should be excellent future matchups, starting this Fall.

I like it when the best programs schedule each other. It’s fun to watch the best take on the best in the regular season, not just when playoff time rolls around.
