The Ohio State football program is ramping up its recruiting efforts now that the NFL Draft is done. It’s really the only thing they can focus on right now until summer workouts come around. The Buckeyes are really going to ramp up recruiting the 2023 class this summer as well.

One of those recruits is five-star receiver Brandon Inniss. He is the number one receiver in the country for this class and had Ohio State high early, but then seemed like he was going to USC. In fact, it really seemed like a done deal until the Draft rolled around.

Inniss may have seen the Buckeyes’ success with receivers in the first round and may have changed his mind. The Ohio State football program had three first-round picks at that position on Thursday night. It certainly was a great night to help recruiting, that’s for sure.

Inniss deserves to be the number one receiver in this class. He has all of the tools that you would want your receivers to have. He’s great at getting separation, can make contested catches, and has the speed to turn small gains into big ones once he does get the ball.

In all honesty, he reminds me a lot of Garrett Wilson. Wilson did a lot of the same things that Inniss does. We saw how high Wilson got drafted, so if Ohio State was able to land Inniss that would be huge. Inniss indicated he will be visiting Columbus in June.

That might be the weekend that the Buckeyes are able to lock him down as a commit. That’s certainly when Ryan Day and company will be putting their full-court press on him. He would be the crown jewel of the 2023 class commits so far.

dark. Next. Ohio State Football: Who will win the kicking battle?

There’s still over a month until his visit, so things can still change before then.
