The 2022 NFL Draft is done. It was a weekend that saw a lot of young men realize dreams that they’ve had since they were little kids. The Ohio State football program saw six of their young men get drafted and start their dreams of being professional football players too.

Of those six players, which of them got drafted into the best situation? After looking at each draft pick and considering which team each player got taken by, my answer might surprise you. I still think that Chris Olave is the big winner of the Buckeyes here.

I already told you that he got the best draft situation of any of the Ohio State receivers, but I think he’s in the best spot of any Buckeye. Olave was drafted 11th overall by the New Orleans Saints after they traded up to go and get him. Clearly, they have plans for him.

The way the Saints play, Olave can put up some big numbers almost from day one. He has another great receiver on the other side of him, one of the NFL’s best running backs, and a quarterback that loves to throw the ball downfield. It’s an offense that’s set up for success.

Even though the Saints will have a new head coach this year, they are still the team that is best set up to win now for Olave. They play in a relatively weak division. They only have to worry about Tampa because both Atlanta and Carolina are still bad football teams.

Olave will take what he learned in his time with the Ohio State football program and use it to succeed in the NFL. I don’t think he’s the best Buckeye from this class in terms of talent, but he very well may end up having the best career because of the situation he walks into.
