The NFL Draft officially starts this evening at 8 pm. Players from all over the country are hoping to hear their names called at some point over the next three days. Ohio State football players are no different in their hopes. Several of them know they will get their name called.

We know for sure that Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson will hear their names called tonight in the first round. There’s an outside shot that Nicholas Petit-Frere also slips into the first round, but he’s more likely a second-round pick. Either way, he’s getting drafted for sure.

Which other Buckeyes are going to get drafted? Jeremy Ruckert could go as high as the second round. Thayer Munford will be a day three selection. Haskell Garrett is on the bubble as a day two or day three guy. After that, there are a couple of fringe guys that have a shot to get drafted.

Tyreke Smith is likely going to be a late draft pick. He could go in the 6th or 7th round if he does end up getting taken. Jerron Cage is a guy that’s on the bubble as well. He very well could go undrafted. He’s a guy that teams would need to love in order to take.

In my mind, there are seven solid guys who will get taken. Everyone I mentioned except for Cage is someone that I am confident will get drafted at some point this weekend. They all deserve to be on an NFL roster and get a chance to make the team this Fall.
