The Ohio State football team has largely dominated the rivalry with TTUN. Last year was the first time that TTUN had beaten the Buckeyes since 2011. It’s mostly been Buckeye domination. J.T. Barrett never lost to TTUN, but came as close as you can come back in 2016.

Everyone remembers that classic game. Ohio State was able to force overtime in the Shoe. While down three, the Bucks decided to go for it on fourth and one because they had missed two field goals already in the game. J.T. ran it and got the first down, though every TTUN player and fan disagrees.

Apparently, Barrett’s former teammate in Pittsburgh is still salty about the loss. Chris Wormley, A defensive lineman who played in that 2016 game and now plays for the Steelers, still thinks Barrett was short. He took to Twitter after Barrett talked about the play in an interview.

Wormley is clearly still salty at the fact that Barrett was not stopped short on that fateful fourth-down play. The Buckeyes would score a game-winning touchdown on the very next play. Because of that fourth-down play, Wormley went 0-4 against the Ohio State football team in his career.

Barrett responded to Wormely on Twitter too, stating that he did in fact get that first down.

This is exactly what the rivalry needs; two former players taking some light shots at each other over The Game. Ohio State fans will always think that Barrett got the first down and TTUN fans will always think he was short. That’s the beauty of the rivalry.

I’m hoping the Buckeyes can get back on top in the rivalry by getting some revenge this season. We’ll have to wait until November to find out.
