The Ohio State football program has become recognized for recruiting elite talent at three different positions on the field. Those positions are receiver, defensive end, and quarterback. Ryan Day continues to recruit well at quarterback for future classes too.

According to 247Sports, the Buckeyes are projected to land the number one overall player in the 2024 class by their rankings. That player is quarterback Dylan Raiola out of Arizona. Raiola is a five-star player by all of the recruiting services and is a complete stud.

Raiola stands at 6’3 and 225 pounds. He has some good genes because his dad spent 14 years in the NFL with the Detroit Lions as a center. Raiola has already shown some elite arm talent and looks to be the next great quarterback in college football once he gets there.

Raiola took an unofficial visit to the Ohio State football program at the beginning of the month. He clearly liked what he saw if he is now projected to commit to the Buckeyes. Adding Raiola to a roster that already has Devin Brown and whatever 2023 quarterback commits would be dangerous.

It’s unclear when exactly Raiola will make a final decision on where he is going to attend school. It’s good to know that the Buckeyes are at the top of the list. I’m sure he’ll be one of the many recruits that will be watching the Spring Game this weekend on Big Ten Network.

I haven’t seen too much tape of Raiola, to be honest. From what I have seen though, he looks like he has a strong arm and he can move around the pocket a little bit. We’ll definitely get more tape from him in the Fall once his junior season starts.
