The 2022 NFL Draft is just in a couple of weeks. When that time comes, several Ohio State football players will realize their dreams of becoming professional football players. I think a lot of these guys have the tools to be successful at the next level.

With that being said, success is often dictated by what kind of situation a player gets drafted into. If they have a good coach, solid teammates around them, and a solid infrastructure, that player typically succeeds. I see one player succeeding no matter what team he gets drafted to though.

That player is Garrett Wilson. Wilson has the most talent of anyone in this draft from the Ohio State football program. He is also most likely going to be picked the highest. I’m not exactly going out on a limb saying that he will have the best career of all of the Buckeyes who will be taken in this draft.

I do think Wilson will succeed regardless of what team takes him because of his physical skills. He has such good hands and uses his body well to catch the ball. He also uses his body well to shield defenders from knocking the ball away. Wilson is also a very fast receiver too.

Wilson can run all of the routes necessary to get open at the next level. He also has elite separation skills. No matter what quarterback will be throwing to him for the next few seasons, I see Wilson being immensely successful in his NFL career.

It remains to be seen what team could take Wilson. I have a few guesses, but we’ll see if any of them end up being the right fit for him. We’ll find out early in the first round though. There’s no way he drops out of the top 20.
