The Ohio State football team will surely have multiple tributes to Dwayne Haskins over the course of the season in 2022. His untimely death shocked former players, coaches, and even current players who were once teammates of his. They all are grieving.

Haskins’ death will ultimately serve as a rallying point for the Buckeyes this season. They will dedicate this season in his honor. You can bet that everyone will want to win every single game in his honor. A national championship would be the ultimate honor.

I’m sure that the Ohio State football team will at least wear a helmet decal with Haskins’ name for the whole season. I would expect them to do even more throughout the year as well. He was a big part of the success that the program has had over the last few years.

C.J. Stroud will be more motivated than ever to have a phenomenal season as well. He wears the same jersey number that Haskins wore when he was at Ohio State, #7. I bet he continues to wear that jersey and plays some of the best football that anyone has ever seen in this conference.

The Buckeyes surely wish that they wouldn’t have to do any of this stuff. Haskins passed way too soon and will be missed by a lot of people. The best way for this Ohio State football team to honor him is to play as hard as they can every single game that they play.

If Ohio State were to win a national title this season after this tragic news, it would be one of the best stories in college football. Every Buckeye fan will be hoping for that result.
