If you have not heard by now, former Ohio State football player Dwayne Haskins was tragically killed early this morning after being hit by a vehicle. I’ve seen some things floating around on Twitter about how it may have happened, but I will not post any speculation about an event like this.

Haskins was just 24 years old and has already been mourned by thousands of people. The Ohio State community reacted on social media about the young quarterback’s unfortunate and untimely passing, including his former coach.

Former teammates also reacted to the horrible news.

Current Buckeyes also took to social media to mourn Haskins.

Ohio State Athletic Director Gene Smith also took to social media to share his sadness with this news as well.

As you can see, the Ohio State football community is very tight-knit. Not everyone may have played with Dwayne Haskins or even attended college at the same time he did. But everyone saw the value he brought to the world on and off the field.

It’s an incredibly sad day for everyone who is involved with Ohio State. I’m sure later today we will find out exactly what happened. When that happens, we will bring you the news. Until then, continued prayers for his family in this terribly tragic time.
