The former Ohio State football player would thrive in Philly.

It’s now or never time for Jalen Hurts in Philly. The Eagles have already traded away Carson Wentz and committed last year to Hurts. Hurts was up and down, to put it mildly. Now, they need to give him some weapons so they can truly evaluate him.

Adding Wilson to a team like this would allow them to truly evaluate the viability of Hurts as a franchise quarterback. Wilson is a great receiver and the Eagles know that. Wilson would certainly improve the Eagles’ offense immediately and would give Philly’s brass an answer about Hurts.

Wilson would pair with Devonta Smith to give the Eagles an excellent one-two punch at receiver. At that point, Hurts would have no excuses to not succeed. Wilson would also benefit from having a receiver of Smith’s caliber opposite of him so that he gets less attention from defenders.

Philly has two picks back-to-back at 15 and 16, so Wilson could go at either one of these spots. It really doesn’t matter which of the picks they would use him on. As far as the fit goes for the city, Wilson played for Ohio State football fans. They are pretty comparable to Philly football fans.

Wilson would be just fine in a city like Philly. The way he works would also make him endearing to Eagles fans. They love players who work hard and have immense talent like Wilson does. The fans would love him immediately.
