Ohio State football player Garrett Wilson would do well in New York too.

The Jets have the 10th pick in the Draft this season after they have the 4th pick as well. They likely will use the 4th pick at another position, but that 10th pick is in the range in which Wilson could get taken. Like I mentioned, he isn’t going to go in the top 5.

Having him go to New York isn’t as bad as it sounds. The Jets are in desperate need of talent on the offensive side of the ball. They drafted Zach Wilson as their franchise quarterback with the 2nd overall pick last season and now they need to surround him with weapons.

Zach Wilson showed flashes of great play last year. If you give him a great receiver like Garrett Wilson, the Jets’ offense immediately becomes more dangerous. The AFC East isn’t exactly a juggernaut of a division anymore. In fact, it is pretty much up for grabs.

Garrett Wilson would also be able to have a good rookie season. He would immediately become the number one option for the Jets now that New York struck out on trading for Tyreek Hill. The former Buckeye would also be able to grow around other young players and stay on their timeline.

The one concern I would have about this team is that the Jets have been bad for a very long time. They haven’t been good for the last 10 years or so. They also don’t have a great track record of developing young players. Hopefully, that will change now that they have a franchise quarterback.

The final team that I think Wilson would fit well in might be the most obvious team that he’s linked to.
