The Ohio State football player clarified some comments he made earlier this morning to the media about playing through a concussion.

The Ohio State football team doesn’t put its players in harm’s way. I’m sure that was the message that the coaching staff conveyed to TreVeyon Henderson after making comments that he played through a concussion this morning. After posting an article detailing those comments, Henderson issued a response to me and the Twitterverse at large.

As you can see, Henderson issued a response detailing that he did not in fact play through a concussion. Based on these updated comments, I think he was just trying to say that he plays hard and never wants to be taken out of games because of an injury.

This also pretty much confirms which game he was talking about. The Rutgers game only saw him have 8 carries, all of which were in the first half. That must have been the game in which he injured himself. Either way, Henderson cleared up his comments.

I hope Henderson didn’t actually play through a concussion and the words just came out wrong this morning. This is an extremely talented young man who has a lot of potential. Buckeye fans want nothing but happiness and success for him.
