The Ohio State football team is undergoing Spring practices now in preparation for the Spring game in mid-April. Ohio State is trying to find out who the best players are on the team that can make a difference. Specifically, they are looking for starters as well.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Buckeyes bring back a lot of talent. Even so, they have to replace two starters on the offensive line, a tight end, and both starting receivers. That’s not an insignificant amount of snaps that the Buckeyes need to replace.

Even though we’ve really only seen a couple of practices so far, those give us an idea of who could end up starting on the offensive side of the ball. Today, we will project what the depth chart will look like on offense from a starting lineup standpoint.

The Ohio State football team’s major question will be on the offensive line

Coming into Spring, it was unclear who might start up front. I thought that Harry Miller might be the odd man out, and it seems that is indeed the case. It looks like Luke Wypler will start at center, Donovan Jackson and Matt Jones will be the guards, and Paris Johnson Jr. and Dawand Jones will be the tackles.

That’s not a big surprise based on what we saw last year. Wypler played well enough to keep his spot and Miller won’t be suiting up this Spring at all. That makes it tough for Miller to break into that starting rotation. I have the feeling his time with Ohio State might be winding down.

C.J. Stroud will obviously start at quarterback and TreVeyon Henderson will be in the backfield. At tight end, I’m projecting Gee Scott right now because Cade Stover is still in positional limbo. Ryan Day said he thinks Stover could be a great tight end, but he’s unsure if he wants to move to linebacker.

At wide receiver, the three starters should be Jaxon Smith Njigba in the slot with Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka outside. Egbuka will be fighting with Julian Fleming for that other outside spot, but I think Egbuka will be able to hold onto that starting spot. Fleming will get a lot of snaps too though.
