Ohio State Football: Tyleik Williams stomps on TTUN jersey
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team’s rivalry has definitely jumped up a few notches after the Buckeyes fell for the first time in a decade last November. That loss has given TTUN fans and players a chance to talk a lot of trash and they aren’t holding back.
The latest TTUN player to do that was J.J. McCarthy, who hasn’t even started a game for TTUN. He claims that now “all we know is beating Ohio State”. Some Ohio State football players didn’t like that very much, and one of them took to social media to show that disdain.
Sophomore defensive tackle Tyleik Williams took to social media to post a video of him stomping on a McCarthy Jersey in the locker room. Ignore the idiot who posted it to Twitter, it’s the only way I could copy the video and show it to you guys.
Williams is clearly taking the rivalry personally, which is what you love to see. The Buckeyes know that they can’t make losing to TTUN a regular habit. McCarthy may only know beating the Buckeyes, but that’s because he hasn’t been on the team long enough to experience the pain others have.
I’m sure the Buckeyes will make him experience that pain soon. Williams will be a big part of that as well after having a solid freshman season. He’s not the only Ohio State football player that will be motivated by this quote.
The Buckeyes will have to wait for another 8+ months to give them that pain. It will be glorious once they do.
