Ohio State basketball has new date for Nebraska game
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State basketball team had to have their game against Nebraska postponed a few weeks back due to COVID issues within Nebraska’s program. It was one of many postponements that the Buckeyes have had to deal with this season as it has been hard for them to keep continuity.
The Buckeyes will now be taking on the Cornhuskers on March 1st at 7 pm. Ohio State will be playing this game at home in the Schottenstein Center after already having beaten the Cornhuskers in Lincoln. It is one of a few games that Ohio State will have rescheduled.
Last week’s game against Iowa still needs to be rescheduled. Chris Holtmann mentioned during his press conference today that he wasn’t sure when that game was going to be rescheduled yet and that a few games might have to be moved around to accommodate this one.
Ohio State will hopefully be playing some of the best basketball they’ve been playing all year. It will be a game that will prep them for the Big Ten Tournament and then eventually the NCAA Tournament. They also know just how tough the Cornhuskers play, as evidenced in the first matchup between these two.
We’ll let you know once we hear any word on the Iowa game being rescheduled. There’s a chance it could be later this month, but we’ll have to see what the Big Ten Conference decided to do in terms of managing the schedule of the rest of the teams.
