Much to the glee of Ohio State football fans, Jim Harbaugh decided to return to Michigan after taking some interviews in the NFL. Even though he is coming back, his flirtations with the NFL have rubbed many assistants the wrong way, and they just lost their top assistant coach.

Josh Gattis, who was Michigan’s offensive coordinator and won the Broyles Award for the country’s top assistant coach, is now headed off to be Miami’s offensive coordinator. Apparently, he sent a text to Michigan’s players on his way out the door that was very interesting.

It was also shared that other assistant coaches within TTUN’s program are also looking for a way out. This comes just after TTUN finally beat the Ohio State football program for the first time in 10 years and won the Big Ten for the first time in 16 years.

TTUN is already trying to replace their defensive coordinator. To lose both coordinators after they both had great years is a gut-punch for Michigan. To add that it seems like it was a self-inflicted wound because of Harbaugh sniffing around in the NFL makes it even funnier.

As far as Ohio State is concerned, this is only good news. To have assistant coaches looking to bail because Harbaugh isn’t committed to the program makes things even better. Any sort of momentum that TTUN had over Ohio State is now torn to shreds.

Those chesty fans might have to stop talking so much smack now. Things are starting to turn in a bad way for a program that thought they had finally found a way to beat the Buckeyes consistently.
