Omari Abor committed to the Buckeyes at the start of January. He picked Ohio State over the likes of Texas, Texas A&M, and Alabama. He is a four-star edge rusher from the state of Texas. Abor would give the Buckeyes yet another dominant guy on the outside that can rush the passer.

Abore is someone who can be a dynamite pass rusher when his motor is there. Some questions arose about how consistent his motor is during his senior season. He’s still someone that has elite possibilities if he stays committed to maximum effort every play.

While Ohio State shouldn’t necessarily be worried that Abor is going to flip somewhere else, he didn’t reaffirm his commitment when some defensive coaches were fired and new ones were brought in. Perhaps the reason for that is that his position coach, Larry Johnson, was the only one to keep his job.

This is another prospect that the Buckeyes shouldn’t need to worry too much about. Abor should sign his letter of intent without too much issue. That would give the Buckeyes their fourth defensive lineman in the 2022 class.

Ideally, Ohio State would land all three of these prospects. Hinzman and Abor are mortal locks to join the program, but Miller is still a wild card. He would definitely be a nice bonus to this already pretty solid class for Ryan Day and his staff.
