Ohio State Football: Is Joe Burrow coolest QB ever?
By Ryan Stano
Former Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow may not have had his finest moments in college while playing for the Buckeyes, but he is an alum. He graduated with a degree from the university. Since leaving college, he has undoubtedly become one of the coolest quarterbacks around.
The things he says, the things he does, and certainly his play on the football field all translate to unparalleled coolness. He seems almost universally loved because of it. Take a look at just the latest evidence of his coolness, which was talked about postgame after beating the Chiefs Sunday.
That is a ridiculously cool response. He is one of the few people that can straddle the line between cockiness and coolness and make it work so that everyone likes him. A lot has to do with his play on the field, which has been great for the Bengals since he was drafted.
Burrow never got to show his coolness with the Buckeyes so as an Ohio State football fan, I feel a bit cheated. Nonetheless, I think I speak for all Buckeye fans when I say that I will be rooting for him in the Super Bowl to have a spectacular game, win or lose.
I know everyone in my group chat was fawning over Burrow’s drip postgame. His comments, his fit, everything just screams chill. That’s why the Bengals are in the Super Bowl. They have a quarterback who is comfortable in his own skin and he never gets rattled.
Burrow is going to have a very successful career if he keeps this type of play and mentality up. It’s something very few people in the game of football possess.
