Ohio State Football: Three recruits who could see immediate playing time
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team has solidified most of its 2022 recruiting class. With Signing Day still to go in February, they have a healthy class already signed for this year. With that class come some players with extraordinary talents that warrant getting some snaps.
While a lot of freshmen will see at least some playing time, especially in blowouts, there are a few who deserve significant snaps right away. There were some in 2021 who made a big impact with a significant amount of snaps, including sensational running back TreVeyon Henderson.
I’m not sure any of the guys I’m about to mention will have an impact on the Ohio State football team as great as that, but that’s because none of these guys touch the ball on a regular basis like Henderson got to. That doesn’t mean they can’t make great contributions with the snaps they get.
I have identified three true freshmen who could get a lot of playing time next year because of their high level of talent as well as the need for someone to step up at that position. The Buckeyes still need help in certain areas of their team to be truly elite. These guys could help with that.
Even if these guys aren’t polished products, they could still get some valuable experience in 2022 that can further their development and make them great players in the years to come. These players will certainly work hard to get themselves on to the field as much as they can.
The first player on this list is the highest-rated recruit in this class.
