The Ohio State football team played in one of the best bowl games in recent memory when they beat the Utah Utes 48-45 in the Rose Bowl. It was a really fun game to watch and it was a game that had all kinds of twists and turns. There were some twists off the field too.

Marcus Williamson didn’t play in the game. He apparently decided to retire and he didn’t even make the trip. Because of that, Williamson was able to tweet during the game. He tweeted some very interesting stuff, including taking some shots at Urban Meyer.

Williamson accused Meyer of some nasty stuff in his tweet thread, including some possible racist incidents. We know Meyer has been a bad guy in the past, but this would take it to a whole new level. Another former Buckeye, Joshua Perry, decided to come to the defense of Meyer.

This has been a very weird Ohio State football season. We have a player tweeting accusations about his former coach, a player quit at halftime and went on a rant on Twitter then too. Just a super odd season both on and off the field for the Buckeyes in 2021.

If what Williamson said about Meyer is true, then Meyer shouldn’t coach at any level of football ever again. There’s no room in football for things of that nature. If you want to look at the full scope of what Williamson said, I would check out his Twitter page. As of now, everything he wrote yesterday is still up.

Ohio State wins a Rose Bowl for the ages. dark. Next

The 2021 season was certainly memorable, sometimes for the wrong reasons.
