The Buckeyes are a really good football team. Even if they stopped short of their goal of playing in the College Football Playoff, they are still a really talented football team. They are still one of the top programs in the country and will show that on Saturday evening.

Even though they might allow a lot of rushing yards, I still think they never trail in this game. Ohio State will do enough on offense to make it so Utah can’t keep up with them in a shootout. I expect the game to be close throughout, but I don’t think the Utes ever take the lead.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Buckeyes kept themselves ahead the entire game anyway. They have a good enough run game to bleed clock if they need to. Plus, if they throw the ball like I’m predicting they do, Utah won’t be able to catch up with just their own run game.

If Ohio State does in fact never trail in this game, that would be a big momentum boost for the program heading into 2022. That would be a dominant effort against a quality opponent with a lot of guys returning next season. It would be big for their confidence.

We’ll see how things shake up on Saturday evening. If two of these things happen for the Buckeyes, they will win the game. That’s something we all want. I very much hope I’m wrong about the Utah running game though.
