Ohio State Football: Tom Cruise does something cool for TBDBITL

The Ohio State football team is practicing in California right now getting ready for the Rose Bowl. They aren’t the only ones practicing though. The Best Damn Band in the Land will also be out there getting ready for the Granddaddy of Them All. It’s a team effort.
Band members got a really cool surprise today from an unlikely person: Tom Cruise. Yes, the actor. Cruise decided to surprise members of the band with some cool stuff because he like the band’s tribute to Top Gun so much when they did so during the regular season.
Cruise gave everyone in the band a Top Gun t-shirt, as well as a free early screening of the new Top Gun movie. You can see the clip below for how some members of TBDBITL reacted to the news.

It’s cool to see a celebrity reach out and show his appreciation for the effort that everyone in the band puts in every single week. It’s also cool that the band keeps doing halftime shows this great and keeps proving why they are The Best Damn Band in the Land.
Cruise gave these members of the band a moment that they will never forget. I’m sure all of the members will be thankful for this for the rest of their lives. That’s what collegiate athletics is all about; impacting lives. I’m sure this makes members of the Ohio State football team happy too.
