The Ohio State basketball team was supposed to be playing basketball this evening. Instead, they are sitting at home because COVID has gone through the program. We don’t know who has the virus or how many members of the team have caught it.

What we do know is that they didn’t play today. We also know that the game on Tuesday against UT-Martin could be in danger as well. The Buckeyes will test again on Sunday to determine whether or not they will be able to play that game or have that one canceled as well.

It’s a shame that the Buckeyes weren’t able to play Kentucky on Saturday. That could have been a good win for them on their resume. Kentucky ended up playing North Carolina instead and beat the snot out of them. It would have been a great test for Ohio State.

I’m really hoping that the Buckeyes are able to play this game on Tuesday because they have been playing some of the best basketball of anyone in the country. They have been doing a really good job of getting the fanbase excited for how good this team can be as well.

The Ohio State basketball team has been rolling. This virus is one of the only things that can stop them from playing as well as they have. Stopping the momentum is never ideal. Unfortunately, this is something that is a new reality in the world that we live in.

We will certainly let you know if the Buckeyes come back COVID-free on Sunday and are able to play this game on Tuesday.
