Ohio State Football: 3 more prospects who could sign on Signing Day
By Ryan Stano
The first prospect that could sign with the Ohio State football program tomorrow is Omari Abor. Abor is a four-star prospect from Duncanville, Texas. He is rated as the 8th-best player in the state of Texas and the 4th-best edge prospect overall in the country.
Abor has good size to him at 6’4 and 220 pounds. He is someone that can wreak some havoc on the edge because he has a quick first step for someone as big as he is. The other impressive thing that stands out from his film is his motor and how consistent it is.
Abor will not quit on a play. He will chase quarterbacks down from the backside with relentless pursuit. He’s the type of player that coaches love having on their roster because they will give maximum effort on every snap. Ryan Day will love having him on the defense.
A prospect like this is someone that can develop into a five-star-like talent. Abor is really good already and should flourish next to some already great players along the defensive line. Abor would likely end up there because of the style of defense Jim Knowles likes to run.
Landing Abor would be a good first step in terms of getting prospects who haven’t already committed to the team. He is the best of the prospects that Ohio State has a hope of signing still. Even if they just land one of the three prospects on this list, Abor would be the guy I’d want.
The next guy on this list is another four-star prospect that would actually be a great flip if the Buckeyes could land him.
