Former Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer decided to come out of retirement to coach in the NFL. The Jacksonville Jaguars thought that it was going to be a good idea to bring him in. That decision has clearly been a bad one. Meyer and the Jags have been very bad.

In fact, they have been so bad that Meyer may get replaced after the year is over. Owner Shad Khan has said that Meyer will be back next year. If you’ve watched a Jacksonville Jaguars game at any point this season, you have to question why that would be the case.

Meyer looks woefully unprepared for NFL life. It seems as though he doesn’t have control of his team or anything that is going on in the locker room. His team has only won two games this season. Not only that, but they look completely lost as an entire team.

This team clearly doesn’t want to play hard for him anymore. Even Trevor Lawrence has voiced some concerns as to how the team is being coached. Any Ohio State football fan has to be happy that the Buckeyes got his best years of coaching. He might not get another job again.

If Urban Meyer gets fired this year, he won’t get another NFL coaching job ever again. All of the big coaching jobs in college football have been filled already. Meyer just might have to go back into retirement. Even though he did well at FOX, they might not want him anymore.

We’ll see how the end of the season goes. As a Buckeye fan, I’m glad Urban is no longer in Columbus. Even though he is clearly a much better college coach, it seems as though players have lost respect for the way he coaches and behaves.

I’m glad Ohio State got Ryan Day out of it!
